Listen to your life.
See it – touch, taste, smell your way
to the holy and hidden heart…
Life itself is grace.
I’m getting a little itchy to move on to newer journaling, so here I’m just going to share the rest of the notes from the Greater Milwaukee Synod’s Theological Conference.
If you’re interested in seeing them all together, I’ve also shared them on Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/vondadrees/daring-greatly-elca-greater-milwaukee-synod-2016-f/
Bishop Paul Erickson of the Greater Milwaukee Synod spoke a bit about the story of Lazarus at the rich man’s gate and then shared a story about Conchita, a woman who invited Paul to cross another chasm with her words, “It’s for you, too.”
Listen for those words of welcome, of invitation, because they’re for you, too.
A couple months ago, I listened to a webinar called “Imagining Another Way” with Christena Cleveland and Richard Rohr. This is the fourth of seven journaling images from the event.
Mantled… We “wait and watch for the next and the new, for whatever God might decide now to do.” ~Kayla McClurg
One of the very special moments during the director transition ceremony in June was receiving the mantle of leadership from Dan Oberg, a mantle hand-woven and first given to Dan by Liz Caemmerer, co-founder of the Grunewald Guild.
There is a voice that doesn’t use words. Listen. ~Rumi

Creativity, after all, is God’s first language. ~Jan Richardson
Inspired by messages from Kristin Gilje and Anne Mulleniex… So much creative spirit to ponder and process. I am grateful for the parenthesis of sacred space here at the Grunewald Guild.
