Monseñor Oscar Arnulfo Romero… Santo de América!

Today, May 23, 2015, the world celebrates the beatification of the beloved Archbishop Oscar Romero.  My Salvadoran friends and their guests are gathering at the Plaza Salvador del Mundo in San Salvador.  And heaven and earth are bowing.

Note:  After finishing the journal page and scheduling this post, I received an e-mail from Bishop Medardo Gomez of the Lutheran Church of El Salvador.  He included the quote in Spanish, “Resucitaré en mi pueblo.”  I realize now that I would have preferred to use that.
