Day 5 of sharing the notes I used for a Rise Up, Creative event in March 2015.
I mentioned previously that I often practice using the bleed-through ink to begin my journal pages. It’s a good practice to surrender the need to be first. I love The Message version of Romans 12:10 – Be good friends who love deeply; practice playing second fiddle.
It was a hoot using my journaling as the actual notes for my talk. Check out the “go back 2 pages” note-to-self. Humor aside, though, it was the most comfortable I have ever been speaking in front of a group.
Beginning in September 2015, I’m going to be journaling through Richard Rohr’s Immortal Diamond online course. I’d really love to have company on that journey. This isn’t about technique, it’s about commitment to exploring soulful questions through co-creative expression in community. So, if your thing is (or you’re wanting it to be) collage art, photography, poetry, music, art journaling, etc (short for EveryThingCounts) AND the course material intrigues you… maybe this could be calling you?
